ACTUAL TIME

Dear sport friends,

As president of the Dutch Fire brigade Soccer team, and president of the tournament committee, I have the privilege to speak to you directly.

It was June 2005, Cork-Ireland, for the ninth time we could take part in this tournament. For me as president it was the first time I attended to. The entire entourage and fraternization between colleagues from many countries in Europe made me so excited that I offer the European Sports Federation to organize the 10th anniversary tournament, in the Netherlands. Mid 2008 I received the request from the ESF if the Netherlands wanted to organize the tournament, which of course we have responded positively.

Since the start of the tournament we have took all times, and consider it now as a privilege to organize the 10th anniversary tournament.

The tournament will take place in the main port of Rotterdam, from May 28 till May 31, 2009. The Fire brigade Rotterdam-Rijnmond will act as host. We are very grateful for this. The football accommodation is provided by the 100-years old Sport club FEYENOORD, which still has a worldwide reputation. European Cup, World Cup and UEFA Cup winner.

Rotterdam is a vibrant and progressive city in the field of sport. It is a city where each guest can entertain.

I hope that the participating countries of the sports tournament to mind, where sportsmanship and fraternization will be in the first place. I wish all members and supporters a pleasant stay in Rotterdam.
